The Metallurgical Training Institute (M.T.I) Onitsha, a parastatal under the federal Ministry of mines and steel development, invites the general public to it MTI diploma and National diploma courses, qualified candidates for our admissions into academic session for the under mentioned programmed. are invited to obtain their form at the institute permanent site or contact the Director Office.
1.0 THREE YEAR METALLURGICAL TRAINING INSTITUTE DIPLOMA (MI!) PROGRAMMES IN SPECIALIZED TRAINING (80% PRACTICE & 20% THEORY)IN:
a. Industrial Electrical Engineering
b. Instrumentation & Control Systems Engineering
c. Mechanical Maintenance Engineering
d. Heavy Mobile Equipment Maintenance Engineering
e. Steel Fabrication & Welding Engineering
f. Industrial Metallurgy & Foundry Engineering.
3.0 METHOD OF OBTAINING APPLICATION FORMS FOR MTI DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES
Application forms can be obtain from:
1. Metallurgical Training Institute, km6/7 Onitsha/Owerri Road, P,M.B. 1555, Onitsha. Or
2. Metallurgical Training Institute Liaison Office, plot 4 Niamey Street, Zone 2, Wuse-Abuja.
2.0 ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:
i. Minimum credit passes in five subjects at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and one inner Science subject at G.C.E, (OL), SSCE, NECO, or
ii. WAEC Technical, NABTEB or N.T.C in related trade areas with credit passes in Englbth Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other Science Subject, G,C.E (OL), SSCE, NECO,
4.0 SALE OF APPLICATION FORMS
Sale of Application forms always commence, every first week of May, All Payment will be made through remittal/TSA at designated banks recommended by metallurgical Training Institute, Onitsha.
